We are busy growing our economy by developing our technology infrastructure and tourism opportunities.
The Hinton Technology Center building was dedicated on August 11, 2006, by Senator Robert C Byrd and Congressman Nick Rahall. The new infrastructure helps to connect Hinton and other small rural communities to the rest of the world. It currently houses retail businesses, a medical office, a daycare, and the city-owned Bobcat Fitness Center.
Visitors can easily enjoy the town’s turn-of-the-century architecture via walking tours of the streets of the historic town. Since 1987, community leaders and the National Park Service have been working together to revitalize Hinton as a living museum. We encourage you to visit Hinton and see what you’ve been missing.
